"The Gift of Life"
A sculpture to mark the generosity of organ donors

The sculpture describes a figure celebrating a new lease of life as it receives a gift from the hand below. A heart shape is created by the lower part of the figure and the inside of the hand - a symbol most often associated with organ donation.

The sculpture is five metres high, fabricated in mild steel, galvanised for weather-proofing and finished in a low maintenance tinted grey paint.
A stainless steel text band encircles the base.
