The sculpture was made by Paul Margetts to the design of Claudia Holder who is a member of Artscope arts group in North London. She describes her design:
"The sculpture is purposefully confrontational, rising from the ground to upset the tranquillity of its setting. It is an uncompromising memorial in every way, thought-provoking, disconcerting and a memorial to universal suffering."
