War Memorial Remembrance Garden, Denton, Lancashire. 4 metres high. A hollow obelisk infilled with poppies. A broken sword forms a cross on top of the obelisk symbolising the crosses found in WW1 cemeteries. The broken cross suggests the end of war. Commissioned by Tameside MBC 1994 |
